In life, we often encounter people who discourage us saying ‘Tumse Na Ho payega’. Zee TV’s latest fiction offering Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paega encourages viewers to brush aside these naysayers and cultivate a “Yes I can do that!” attitude. The show’s male lead Akshat Jindal (played by Nishant Singh Malkani) has also been taking the ‘Tumse Na Ho Paega challenge’ head-on and trying out new things, while moving out of his comfort zone. Nishant has been brushing up his culinary skills and taking up cooking lessons to convincingly portray his reel character. On the show, he is essaying the role of a chef and is pulling out all stops to make it look more real!
Speaking about his experience, Nishant said, “I never really got a chance to learn cooking. When I was in Delhi, my mother used to cook for me. I moved to Kolkata to join IIM, where I had a maid who used to prepare meals for me. When I was told that my character Akshat is a chef, I thought of giving cooking a serious shot. I took some help from my cook in Mumbai and tried to learn the basics. He taught me how to make dal, roti and sabzi. Initially it was a task to make round rotis and it took me around two months to get those perfect shaped roti’s, but eventually I did it”.
He further added, “Now the situation is such that many a times when my cook isn’t around, I even get on YouTube and take cooking lessons. I also feel that cooking is the perfect stress buster and it gives immense pleasure and satisfaction. Well that’s not all, it is actually helping me to play my role effortlessly on screen. And, now I can proudly say that Nishant ‘tumse ho paya’.
Well, we can’t wait to taste some lip smacking delicacies dished out by this dashing actor.
